New England is my home and it always will be. Unfortunately, it is not known for thrilling nature expeditions. But, Jamestown, Rhode Island is a little-known exception.
I took a weekend trip to escape from the hustle and bustle of New York City. There's nothing quite like the ocean to reset yourself.
Jamestown's main attraction is Fort Wetherill. It's an abandoned fortress that's since been covered in graffiti. Both eerie and quizzical, it makes the perfect backdrop for some photos.
But, as cool as the graffiti is, the best part about Fort Wetherill is the nature. It sits on the edge of a cliff. If you do some wandering around, you'll be rewarded with blue ocean and crashing waves.
